Quality Management Systems
EIM has always held the strong belief that talent is most effective when it is supported by sound processes. This is true of the Hedge Funds which EIM selects for its clients; it is also true for EIM itself.
EIM therefore took the innovative step of seeking an external control of its quality standards under the ISO 9001 international quality control norm. EIM's Swiss entity, E.I.M. S.A., achieved this milestone as early as 1999, EIM (Gibraltar) Ltd. was certified in 2002, EIM (France) S.A. in 2003 and EIM Management (USA) Inc.obtained the certification in 2007.
ISO certification requires that all processes be clearly defined and documented, and that controls be put in place to ensure that all steps essential to delivering a quality product are rigorously adhered to at all times.
Certification is granted after a detailed audit by a licensed independent company. EIM's audit was conducted by International Certification Services, a division of SGS (Société Genérale de Surveillance), one of the leading international quality control firms. The audit must be repeated annually for its certification to be maintained.
EIM's ISO certification covers Manager Selection & Monitoring, Portfolio Construction & Management, and Client Reporting.
EIM was the first international Fund-of-Hedge Funds company to obtain the ISO seal of quality, which ensures that EIM's processes have been carefully designed and are systematically implemented.
