The philosophy which EIM bases its work on, is that with the ever growing complexity and number of financial markets and instruments, it is becoming virtually impossible for investors to keep track of all the different asset classes and to obtain consistently satisfactory results in all of them.
There is therefore an ever-increasing trend to delegate the management of parts of the assets to specialist third-party fund managers. However, most investors do not have access to sufficient information, which is essential to analyse third-party managers in an in-depth and objective manner. Also, many lack a systematic and disciplined approach of analysing these managers and the risks involved in investing with them. The analysis of third party fund managers and the allocation of capital to these managers are what EIM specialises in.
EIM's activities are focused on identifying, screening and analysing both in a qualitative and a quantitative manner the best fund managers in the different markets and investment styles. EIM's emphasis has been on what are commonly known as hedge funds, however we look at and select from the whole universe of funds including traditional long-only funds. As a private and independent company, we are able to perform our research in an objective manner. Our team of Investment Professionals currently consists of over 70 people based in New York, London, Nyon (Geneva), Paris and Gibraltar.
This makes the EIM team one of the largest and, with over ten years of history, also one of the most experienced teams in the sector.
